After meeting with Matthew, we felt confident that he would be the perfect photographer for us.

He was happy to listen to our ideas and was flexible on the style of photographs to suit our special day. Matt was also committed to being present for the entire day ,from the early morning preparations of the bride and bridesmaids to the evening celebrations of dance and fun.

On the day we were surprised at how Matt remained so unobtrusive yet managed to capture some absolutely stunning shots, many of which we were totally unaware were being taken. Our album has been finished to the highest standard. We would not hesitate in recommending Matt to any future bride and grooms. He is professional, yet personable and he obviously loves what he does.

‘Wow! We cannot express how happy we are with our wedding photos. I can honestly say we were blown away by the quality of photos we received. They are magazine quality and we find it hard to believe the photographs are actually of us! Matt and his wife Tanya were completely professional from the beginning and they have a unique quality of making you feel completely at ease. They were with us the whole day and I can honestly say they must have photographed all 160 of our guest at least once! No opportunity for a good picture was missed and when we watched a slide show of all 1,220 of our pictures we could not stop laughing.

Organising your Wedding is one of the most important things that you will ever do. There is a lot of pressure placed upon couples to ‘get it right’ and to ‘make it personal’, with this in mind my Husband and I spent a long time planning and preparing for our day to ensure it would be ‘perfect’. We were also sure that by the time our day finally arrived, we would want to simply enjoy it and have time to bask in its splendour, without worrying about contracted services or suppliers. We were also aware that after our day was (sadly) over, we would want some beautiful pictures to trigger memories for years to come.

All of the above meant that our choice of Wedding Photographer was very important to us; we spent a long time choosing a photographer, ensuring that their values matched our own and that they understood the type of day (and shots) that we were after. We chose based on recommendation, but when we were let down close to our wedding date with no warning and little explanation we were heart-broken. We went back to the drawing board and started afresh (I hadn’t wanted to use any of photographers we had already seen). Matthew Sims Photography popped up on a google search and after the first phone call, I knew I had found our photographer. My parents say that every cloud has a silver lining, and I’m very pleased to confirm that ours was platinum - Matt came to the rescue, fitting us in at (relatively) short notice, offering us the exact same elements that we had previously chosen (but with a lot more quality!) and added extras that we hadn’t even thought about (and all for a VERY competitive price!).

I had very high expectations (which I’m sure were quite daunting), but Matt and the ever-efficient Tanya allayed all of my concerns and anxieties in the run-up to the day, taking the time to get to know us and visit our venue with us for a ‘dry-run’. All of their preparation meant that without us really realising it, they caught our day just the way we had asked them to. It was important to my Husband and I to have traditional / quite classic shots and group line-ups (along with some more modern, informal photos) for our album, something which we found difficult to convey to most photographers who we met with (who were interested in providing their own style of photography whether you wanted it or not!). Matt (and Tanya) delivered exceptional photographs on the day, and managed their time (and ours) so all that Daniel and I needed to do was enjoy the sunshine, drink the champagne and natter with our guests (jumping into and out of shots as required). We have received lovely feedback from family and friends and many have remarked at how well organised and unobtrusive the photos were. My Grandfather, an ex-professional photographer himself had the highest praise for Matt’s abilities (even before he saw the end results in the album).

Upon returning from honeymoon, we eagerly anticipated seeing the photos and were overjoyed with the results; we recommend Matt to anyone who asks and are so very, very pleased with both the photos and our prints and albums (which were, incidentally, expertly designed by Matt!).

I wanted to say a massive thank you to you and your wife for your professionalism on the day of our wedding, our wedding album is beautiful and I'm so happy with the end result. Our families were also very impressed with the album. I know it's not easy dealing with a bride and groom overseas but your willingness to Skype us and work with us over email was much appreciated and you always responded to my queries very quickly which was great.
